Wilma Jean Oltmanns Rahe

Wilma Jean Oltmanns Rahe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Hobbs, NM, at the age of 87. She was born on November 10, 1937, in Crescent, OK, to John and Ida Oltmanns.
Wilma was a devoted woman of faith, a longtime member of First Christian Church in Hobbs, NM, where she was actively involved for many years. She cherished her relationship with the Lord and lived her life with kindness, dedication, and love for her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida Oltmanns; brothers, Leroy Oltmanns and Bill Oltmanns, and sister, Carol Oltmanns; daughter-in-law, Rosa Linda Rahe; and granddaughter, Sylvanna Barraza.
Wilma is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Doyle Rahe, with whom she built a beautiful life. Together, they raised three children: Karen Padilla (Chris), Steven Rahe (Angie), and Mike Rahe (Olga). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. She is also survived by her siblings, Johanna Ethridge, Paul Oltmanns (Sonia), Edward Oltmanns and Marilyn Talley (Ray).
Alongside her husband, Doyle, and brother, Paul Oltmanns, Wilma helped build Hobbs Diesel, Inc., creating a successful business that thrived for over 35 years before being sold. She was very talented and enjoyed China Painting and Calligraphy.
Wilma will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong faith, and her generous heart. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church Building Fund, Hobbs, NM, or Mandy's Farm (mandysfarm.org), a nonprofit organization that assists individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals for living, learning, and working in the community.
Wilma's love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
