Willie Rogers

Mr. Willie Rogers, 72, died June 17, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born Sept. 28, 1934, in Rogers, N.M. He married Lawanna Hamlett Davis on Sept. 10, 2004, in Hobbs, N.M.

Willie was raised in Portales, N.M. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Willie was the owner of Willie's TV and Video until he retired in 2001. He enjoyed horse racing and playing cards. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Lawanna Rogers of Hobbs, N.M.; three sons, Willie O. Rogers, Jr. of Hobbs, N.M., Terry Rogers of Wink, Texas, and Todd Davis of San Antonio, Texas; five daughshy;ters, Patty Rogers of Clovis, N.M., Stacy Saxton of Southlake, Texas, Andrea Kemp of New Caney, Texas, Sandy Grcywacz of Logan, N.M., and Genny Graham. of New Caney, Texas; five sisters, Ruby Wilson of Portales, N.M., Velma Inman of Carlsbad, N.M., Wanda Stockton of Matador, Texas, Chris Merrick of Portales, N.M., and Linda Hill of Portales, N.M.; 14 grandchilshy;dren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Willene Rogers; four sisters; and one brother.
