Willie King

November 29, 1925 — February 15, 2011

Veteran memorial services for Willie L. Sun Baby King, born on November 29, 1925, in Cleburne, Texas, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife Ruby King of Hobbs daughters, Mae Nell King of Oakland, CA, and Velma Desha of Dallas, TX brother Bennie King of Caldwell, TX sisters, Cetta King of Caldwell, TX, and Burnett Chase of Abilene, TX.

He worked for Southwest Public Services and retired for Excel Energy in 1995. He also worked for his brotherinlaw, Homer Lee, at Homers where he managed and worked the package lounge.

He was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythian.

He was preceded in death by his son, Willie James King, his parents and a sister. Willie is survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Contributions and donations can be given in his name to the Hobbs American Legion.
