Services have been rescheduled for William Richards.

William E. Gene Richards, 84, was born January 3, 1929 to Fay O. and Mary Irene Richards, in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. Richards passed away January 1, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Gene and Gloria Grace McHenry Richards were married June 11, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. Richards was employed for 35 years in the Federal Government as an Item Management Specialist. Mr. Richards was an avid coin collector. He also enjoyed sports and woodworking. Mr. Richards was a hunter, and liked to go camping.

Mr. Richards is survived by his wife Gloria of Hobbs sons, Marc Richards and wife Colleen, of Sacramento, California, Michael Richards and wife Darla of Citrus Heights, California, and Mathew Richards of Hobbs one brother, Walt Richards of San Antonio, Texas four grandsons, and two greatgrandsons.

Mr Richards was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Richards.

Memorial Services have been set for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb 4, 2014 at Chapel of Hope. Officiating will be Chaplain Elio Barrios.
