William Held, Sr.

On May 9, 2011, Bill Held went to be with his Lord and his beloved son, Willie. A memorial service for Bill will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place. He was born August 31, 1944, in Allentown, PA, to William and Gertrude Held. He married Pat Owens November 23, 1966, in El Paso, TX. He was a charter member of Choose Life Church.

Bill and his family moved to Hobbs in 1981 and retired from Jim Spence in 2003. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Poppy, and he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.

Surviving Bill is his wife, Pat of Bull Head City, AZ daughter Jaci Held of Hobbs daughterinlaw, Nikki Held of Hobbs brother, Ernie Hood and wife Karen of Houston, TX brotherinlaw, Bill Owens and wife Sheila of El Paso, TX and his three granddaughters, Jordin Held, Alexis Held and Bradee Held, all of Hobbs.

Preceding him in death was his son, Willie.
