William Robert Bill Dunford, was born April 10, 1941, in Washington D.C. Bill departed to be with the Lord on February 1, 2010. He graduated high school and DePaul University. Bill was a talented mason who loved working and building various homes in the communities he lived in.
He spent the majority of his life working in the construction industry in Chicago, Illinois, Albuquerque, Hobbs and Lea County area. He took great pride in the work he performed and wanted to make sure the work he did was professionally done.
He is survived in death by his wife Barbara of the home his children, daughter Debbie Jones and husband Dale of Sunderland, Maryland, sons Bill Dunford, Jr. and wife Shelly of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Tom Dunford and wife Jennifer of Hobbs five grandsons, Justin, William, Derek, Dylan and Cody two granddaughters, Rebecka and Carrie two brothers, Larry and Mike Dunford and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe.
He will greatly missed for his unique way of getting his point across whether or not you wanted to hear it.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church, 1701 N. Jefferson, Hobbs, 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, with Brad Reimers officiating.
Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
