Warren Barber

A memorial service for Warren A. PeeWee Barber of Hobbs will be 3 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Chapel of Hope. Mary Fulton, chaplain, will officiate. Cremation will take place.

Mr. Barber, 58, died September 8, 2010, at his home in Hobbs. He was born November 2, 1951, in Avon Park, Florida. He married Mary Jane Schimara on March 11, 1972, in Bensing, Arizona.

Warren served in the U.S. Army during a tour in Vietrnam. He had been employed with Nabors Well service for the last ten years. Warren was a very loyal employee. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, traveling, but especially enjoyed the casino and horse raching. The loves of his life were family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Barber of Hobbs two daughters, Teresa Boughner and husband Larry of Lovington, New Mexico, and Paula Barber of Hobbs three brothers, H. L. Barber and wife Alita Lee of Okeechobee, Florida, Roger Barber and wife Ann of Okeechobee, Florida, and Sydney Barber and wife Diane of Okeechobee, Florida one sister, Sylvia Walker and husband Harvey of Okeechobee, Florida one grandson, Koan Boughner of Lovington, New Mexico.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Pearl Barber, and a nephew, Jake Ward.
