A funeral service for Wanda F. McPeters of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 11 a.m. Monday; Feb. 11, 2008, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Dean Mathis will officiate.
Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1-6 p.m. and Monday from 8-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. McPeters, 85, died Feb. 6, 2008, in Langley; Okla. She was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Graham, Texas. She married R.L. Bob McPshy;eters in 1957.
Wanda moshy;ved to Eunshy;ice, N.M., in 1950 to work as a nurse. In 1954, Wanda and her two children moved to Hobbs where she worked for Bates agency for many years. She returned to her main love, nursing, and worked for Dr. Bell and Dr. Norman.
During her life, she loved her medical field but came to love antiques more. She opened the Pink Cottage Antiques in the mid '60s. She was active in Eastern Star and E.S.A. sorority and ceramic pottery.
Her greatest love in life was her family and her greatest accomplishment was to raise WH., Robbie and Jud and live long enough to see them become successful adults with loving families and children.
She went to the Lord Feb. 6th while living with her daughter in Langley, Okla. She was a lifetime of member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church and was active for over 54 years. Her heart and love has always been Hobbs where she was blessed with so many loving friends.
Survivors include a son, W.H. Allison of Del Rio, Texas; a daughter, Robbie Antle of Langley, Okla.; a grandson, Jud McPeters and wife Kristi of Hobbs, N.M., two grandshy;daughters, Leslie Hendrie of New Braunsfels, Texas, and Jamie Kroner of Dallas; a brother, Kenneth Helvey of Sedalia, Mo.; and eight greatshy;grandchilren, Nathan and Zachary McPeters of Hobbs, N.M., P.J., Jake and Joey Hendrie of New Bruansfels, Texas, and Blake, Grant and Carley Kroner of Dallas.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
