Funeral services for Wanda J. McKelvey of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Benny Greenlee officiating.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. today with the family in attendance from 5-6 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKelvey, 70, died July, 2008, at her home in Hobbs, N.M. She was born December 3,1937, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She marrshy;ied Bobby McKelvey in Seminole, Texas.
Wanda worked at Good Samaritan Village for several years as a nurses' aide. She enjoyed good food, especially fresh fish. Wanda was an animal lover and she liked to attend rodeos and watch bull riding. She loved birds and flowers.
She was a member of Full Gospel Assembly.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Medders of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mike Medders and a special friend, Rita Isles of Chickasaw, Oklahoma; two daughters, Cherrye Simpson and husband Keith of Hobbs, NM., and Regina Lucas of Hobbs, N.M.; a special friend, Billy Forbes of Hobbs, N.M.; a niece; two nephews; eight grandchildren; and one greatshy;grandchild.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McKelvey, and a sister.
