Wanda Johnson

Graveside services for Wanda Lee Johnson, 80 of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at Prairie Haven Cemetery with Minister Clay Martin officiating. Wanda died April 14, 2012, in Hobbs. She was born January 13, 1932, in Gore, Oklahoma, to William and Anna Buttery. September 2, 1948, she married Earl Leon Johnson in Van Buren, AR. He died in August of 1997. She was a member of the Dal Paso St. Church of Christ.

Wanda enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping and loves Blue Grass and Country Western music. She loved to watch Antique Road Show, and looking at antiques.

Surviving Wanda are her children, Hazel King, and husband Paul, of Hobbs, Enos Johnson, and wife Linda, of Hobbs, Tommy Johnson, and wife Karla, of Missouri, Brenda King, and husband Steve, of Hobbs and Gary Johnson, and wife Becky, of Hobbs brothers, Clyde Buttery of Gore, OK, Delbert Buttery of OK, and Lee Buttery of OK sisters, Marie Shores of Tahlequah, OK, Anna Mae Gifford of OK, and Shirley Dickson, of UT 12 grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Earl birthmother, Anna parents, Bill and Pearl Buttery brothers, Talmadge, Delmar and Barton Buttery sisters, Norma and Pamela Buttery granddaughter, Nacomi Deann Johnson and greatgrandson, Bretton Scott.
