Wanda Bohannon

Wanda Lois Breckon Bohannon, 84, of Mira Loma, CA and formerly Hobbs, NM, returned to Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 18, 2015. Wanda was born in Lubbock, TX on June 19, 1931 to Ira Claude (Big R) and Betty Lee (Brewer) Breckon.

She was raised in Carlsbad and Hobbs. She met and married Merle Wayne Bohannon in 1947 and had three children. They were blessed with 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great grandchild. She spent the rest of her life between New Mexico and California. Wanda loved her family and dedicated all of her years to serving and caring for them. She was a long time member of the Church of Nazarene and in her later years the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She knew and loved the Lord. She never said no to anyone in need. She will be forever remembered for her praying hands, charity, and humility and for always having a song in her heart.

Wanda is survived by son Terry W. Bohannon (Ann), daughter Betty V. Lyle (Robert) sisters Glenda Williams and Alice Crosswhite.
She was preceded in death by son Gerry Wayne and grandson Michael Joseph Bohannon.
