May 2, 1954 — December 4, 2018

Walter Eugene Brisco, 64, left this world and peacefully entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior on December 4, 2018 at Hobbs, NM at home, following a short battle with cancer, surrounded by friends and family. He was born May 2, 1954 in San Angelo, TX. Walter was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth L. "Louise" Parrott and Worthey O. Brisco of San Angelo, TX. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly; sons Brent Marion and his wife Brandi Thomas; Brandon Marion and his wife Heather McCraw, all of NC; step son Chris Kietch Jones and his wife, Lisa Garey-Jones, both of Hobbs, NM; ten grandchildren, three great children, and several precious nephews and nieces; also two brothers, Worthey O. Brisco of San Antonio, TX and James Edwards Vickers of Anton, TX. Walter attended Goliad Elementary and Lakeview High School. He worked in oilfield for a short while before enlisting in the U.S Army in 1971, where he proudly served a 4-year stint as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. Following his separation from the Army, Walter returned to San Angelo and worked both in the oilfield also as a mechanic for a Ford Dealer. After a short stint in Odessa, TX, oilfield, he moved to Hobbs, NM, where he worked for Cactus Drilling, Moranco Drilling and Lobo Trucking. In 2008, Walter helped start DMC Trucking, where he worked until he passed.
It was in Hobbs where Walter met and married his beautiful wife, Beverly Jones, on May 8, 1984. Together, he and Beverly were an avid biker and BMW "Beemer" family, owning numerous beautiful - and fast - motorcycles and cars. Dearest to his heart, however, were his family and a host of close and friends - all of whom he loved and cherished.
