Wallace Pearson, Iii

March 18, 1977 — January 30, 2017

Wallace Lynn Pearson, III, aka Wally, Willie, or Wylie, lost his bout with Wilson's disease on January 30, 2017. He had battled the effects of the disease for years without knowing its name. He was born on March 18, 1977 in Liberal, Kansas to Wallace Lynn Pearson, Jr. and Debra Lynne (Poole) Pearson. Wallace grew up in Kismet, Kansas.

Following in the footsteps of his grandad and dad, Wallace became an avid gun enthusiast and all-around good guy. Wallace attended Liberal High School and graduated from Tyrone High School in 1996. Where he excelled on the baseball diamond, the football field and in weightlifting. After moving to Hobbs, NM in late 1996 he met Julie Jacobs, they married on December 23, 2002.

Wallace began working in the oilfield at the age of 13, as a roughneck. He was a chemical engineer when the illness overwhelmed him in 2014. Wallace was the 2nd best chemical engineer in the oilfield, the 1st being his dad.

Wallace was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents (Wallace Sr. and Lois Pearson, and Buck and Roberta Poole) and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Tate Aaron Gamble, Roberta Bell Pearson, Wallace Lynn Pearson IV, and Keenan Noble Pearson; sister, Casey Brunson and husband Chris and their daughter Deborah; half-sister, Lisa Welty; mother-in-law, Judy Hare and her husband Dean; father-in-law, Ric Jacobs; sister-in-law, Alisha Johnson and husband Brandon.

Anyone and everyone that met Wallace instantly admired him and in Julie's case, loved him. His charisma was undeniable and his dazzling hazel eyes were unforgettable.
