On Sunday July 26, 2020, Virginia Maria Dugan, passed away at the age of 71. Virginia was born on June 17, 1949 to Salvador and Refugio Flotte in Hobbs, NM. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her husband Gary Dugan of over 35 years. Enjoying every second, they could even if it meant shopping at her favorite stores.
Virginia was the matriarch to many people not just family. She inspired us all with her strength to care for everyone. She was a proud mother to her children Kathy Dunn, John Paul Quintana, Thomas Solis Quintana Jr., Yolanda Quintana And Jamie Quintana. Her grandchild and great grandchildren were her passion in life. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and is joined in heaven by two grandchildren, Ariane and Claudia and her son Jaimie.
She served as a family advocate for the Hobbs Head Start for 17 years where she became well known as the neighborhood mother, grandmother, and friend within the community. One of the most memorable qualities about her is her sense of humor and laugh. You could sit and laugh for days about absolutely anything.
Virginia enjoyed spreading the word of the Lord. She loved attending events for family and grandchildren. She was the life of the party and the final say in any situation. Her charismatic personality and firm sense of beliefs formed many of whom they are today.
Her legacy of faith, family, and friends is instilled in us to live life with graciousness.
During this time we ask you to send prayers of comfort for the loss of this matriarch.
