Our precious Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 07, 2015.
Viola Keith was born in Mason, Texas on September 17, 1924 to Dave George and Nancy Everett Chisamore. She lost her father at the young age of 5 years old and also lost her twin siblings around the same time. She cared for her 3 brothers while her mother worked long hours. These events strongly shaped who she became... a caretaker.
She married the love of her life, William E. Keith, on October 29, 1941. She ran off in curlers to elope with William at the young age of 17 years old. They had three children and were married 50 years.
Viola enjoyed gardening, embroidery and volunteering at the hospital as a Pink Lady. She was wonderful about caring for her friends who were homebound, always getting them groceries when they needed. It was her desire that her family all had her quilts. Many Saturdays you would find her with her friends playing dominoes. Her local church body was an important part of her life. She spent many hours talking to friends and loved family gatherings. She was well known for her talkative nature.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Keith, wife Paullette, of Hobbs, Jeanette Daniels, husband David of Amarillo, TX and Larry Keith, wife Tanna, of San Angelo, Texas. Her brother, David Chisamore of Fairfield, California, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and a sister.
