Verneal Cecil

Verneal Neal Cecil, 93, was born October 17, 1921 in Devol, OK. He passed away 12142014 in Goodwell, OK. He married Elaine Forgerson on February 28, 1948 in Hobbs.

Neal served in the US Army during WWII and served in 5 major campaigns and was a Bronze Star Recipient. He worked at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company until his retirement in 1984 as the bottling foreman. He loved his grandkids and greatgrandkids. He had his corner at the American Legion.

Neal is survived by his daughter Luann Chappell and her husband Rick of Goodwell, OK, three brothers Deveryl Cecil of Tuscola, TX, Oreath Cecil of Chandler, AZ and James Cecil of Hobbs, three grandchildren Traci Chappell, Jennifer Cornwell and David Chappell all of Amarillo, TX and 7 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine and one brother Lamoine Cecil.

A meal will be served at the VFW in Hobbs after the services for all Neals family and friends.
