Velma Sebastain

Velma Sebastain was born on January 10,1927 in Jennings, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021 in Hobbs, NM.

Velma moved to New Mexico where she married Gene Sebastain on August 6, 1951.  She was preceded in death by Gene in 1990 and a daughter, Debra Craiger on March 10, 2021 and seven siblings.  Velma leaves behind her children, Joyce Goodman of Many, LA, Tom Sebastain of Weatherford, TX, Brenda Isreal and David Sebastain of Hobbs, NM and two brothers Earl and Glen Green of Oklahoma.  Velma was a proud Grannie to 16 grandchildren and GG (great Grannie) to many great grandchildren.  Velma was an accomplished quilter and created many for her children and grandchildren.  She was the centerpiece of the Sebastain family bringing everyone together with amazing cooking, card games, conversation and a place to call home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
