Vedie Noseff

Hobbs

Vedie Ann Noseff went to be with her “Lord” on May 15, 2020.  She lost her battle for life after an extended illness.

Ann was born on June 28, 1929 in Abilene, Texas.  She was one of three daughters and one son born to Ludie and Josephine Gatewood.  Ann grew up in and around Anson, Texas and later moved to Abilene, Texas. It was there she met Tommy Lee Choate, her husband and father of her three children. They were married on May 24, 1947 after Tommy returned from service in World War II. They lived in Abilene for a short while then moved to Lovington, New Mexico. They lived in Lovington, Alamogordo, Las Cruces and Ruidoso, NM over the years while their children grew up.

Later in life she met and married JR Noseff of Hobbs New Mexico. They married on November 23, 1976. They spent many years together while JR drilled oil wells in the Permian Basin and many more years traveling, spending time with family and enjoying life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ludie and Josephine Gatewood, her brother Waldo Gatewood, sister Jo Dean Farris, Tommy Choate, and JR Noseff.

Ann is survived by her sister Gracie Tharp of Abilene Texas, her three sons and families, Danny Choate of Las Cruces, NM, Jimmy Choate of Hobbs, NM and Ronny and Donna Choate of Hobbs, NM.

Grandchildren and families include Josh and Dana Choate of Dallas, TX and their two sons, Dylan and Jarrod, Carla Montoya of Las Cruces, NM and her sons, Tristin and Trey, her daughter, Alexis and Carlos Sosa of Artesia, NM and their daughter, Emery, Jessica and Josh Struiksma of Las Cruces NM and their son, Jace, Chris Choate of Hobbs, NM, Julya Choate of Topping, VA,  Neal and Crystal Choate of Dallas, TX, Xodia Choate of Las Cruces, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our sincere appreciation to the wonderful and caring staff of Desert Gardens Rehabilitation Center, Kindred Hospice and Good Life Assisted Living Facility all of Hobbs, NM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home of Portales, 1356 NM 236, Portales, NM  88130
