Valerie Lam

Valerie Catherine Lam, 91, died October 2, 2013 in Hobbs, NM. Valerie was born December 14, 1921 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Gertrude Hartman.
Valerie has been in the Hobbs, NM . community since 1947. She was married to her husbandin Los Angeles, CA. February 13, 1943.
She was a realtor for Vista Realty for 10 years in Hobbs, NM. She enjoyed her positions as President of the Real Estate Association and Altar Society, and II Soprano in the Altar Society Choir. She enjoyed traveling, cultivating lots of good friends and enjoying her family. Valerie had no children of her own but helped to raise many, many children. Many called her grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Lam, Sisters, Bernadette Rose of Lemmon, SD., Dorothy Carmichael of Meadow, SD. A sister inlaw, Donna Hartman, of Sturgis, SD. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Leo Gertrude, Hartman, her son at birth , two brothers, and one sister.

A Rosary will be held at, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 6:00 pm. at the Chapel of Hope. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2012 at 10:00 am St. Helena Catholic Church Services are under the direction of the Chapel of Hope.
