Travis Spurgeon Brown, 89, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by family.
Travis was born on July 7, 1929 in Graham, Texas to Elizabeth and JR Brown. He made his home Hobbs, New Mexico for over 60 years. In Hobbs he met his wife of 48 years, Lorraine Sargent, and they raised their four children. Travis owned Travis Brown Appliances and Travco Auto. He also helped his mother establish the original Ma Brown's Restaurant in Hobbs. He returned to his family's home place near Weatherford, Texas, in 2008, where he enjoyed working with his tractor and watching wildlife.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters; as well as his wife, Lorraine, and three children, Larry Brown, Pam Cole and Diane Boss. He is survived by his daughter, Marianne Stephens and husband Gary, of Denver City, Texas; three grandchildren, Christopher Caudill, and wife Rebecca, of Midland, Texas; Cody Caudill of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Danielle Lopez of Austin, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, Landon and Logan Caudill, and their mother, Chasity Caudill of Albion, Pennsylvania; special friends, Tom and Becky Tenseth of Weatherford, Texas; Carle Atkinson, of Granbury, TX and very special friend, Rebecca Houghton of Poolville, Texas.
