Tommy Teague

October 21, 1940 — August 16, 2008


Our loving father and husband, Tommy H. Teague, entered into eternal peace with the Lord on August 16, 2008. He was born October 21, 1940, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Bob Robards and Ezdar Ann Hall Teague. He married Judy Ann Campbell on October 7, 1964, in Hobbs at the home place. They were six weeks away from their 44th wedshy;ding annivershy;sary.

Tommy was raised in Hobbs and returned to Hobbs in 1979 after livshy;ing in California for 17 years. Tommy worked in the oil and gas industry for 25 years, beginning his career with Cabot Corporation in 1982 and retiring from OneOK West-Tex Transmission in 2007.

He loved woodworking and tinkering and built the family home in Hobbs with the help of his loving wife and daughters. He had served with the Knowles Volunteer Fire Department. He loved good, old-fashioned country and gospel music and always enjoyed attending the Lea County Fair Fiddlers Contest. He loved spending time with family and friends and always looked forward to seeing and loving on his grandkids and granddogs. His sense of lumor was legendary. Even during the tough times during his illness he was making jokes. He liked to keep the nurses laughing. He was loved and respected and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Teague of Hobbs, New Mexico,; two daughters, Tammy Roberts and husband Gary of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Denise Teague and special friend Van Myrick of Alamogordo, New Mexico; sister, Bobbie Ann Jenkins of Odessa, Texas; a grandson, Tustin Roberts of Rio Rancho, and a granddaughter, Caroline Roberts of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; three grandshy;dogs, Murphy, Seamus and Jeffrey Todd; and a special nephew, Harold Dean Jennings of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Robards and Ezdar Ann Teague; three sisters, Lou Carter, Beatrice Graham and Triona Bingham; a brother, Tobert C. Teague; and an infant daughter, Holly Michelle.
