Thomas Monk

Funeral services for Thomas Tommy Marion Monk, Sr. , 73, of Hobbs, will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. November 19, 2011, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. Pastor Dale Shook will preside. Tommy died November 16, 2011, in Hobbs. He was born May 17, 1938, in Hobbs, NM,
to Raymond and Jewel Monk. Visitation will be 10 a.m. 6 p.m. Friday, November, 18, 2011, and Saturday 8 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope.

Tommy was an active member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed watching sports.

He is survived by two sons, John Monk, and wife Carla, of Waco, TX, and Thomas Monk, Jr. of Hobbs two daughters, Debra Fryer, and husband Charlie, of Waco, TX, and Christi Luby of Atlanta, GA a brother, Raymond Monk and wife Sharon, of Glendale, AZ a sister, Ora Lee Nelson, and husband Loyd, of Midland, TX ten grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Linda and a sister.
