Thelma Haynes

Thelma Elvira Haynes was born, the fourth child out of seven, April 1, 1914, in Ennis, TX, to Clarence and Beulah Jones. Thelma died December 29, 2012, in Hobbs. She married Thomas Haynes October 19, 1938, in Ennis, TX, and from this union came 7 children Ronald, Jester Faye, Thomas, Jr., Hubert, Willie, Arthur and Roy, 28 grandchildren and 55 greatgrandchildren.

Thelma graduated from Ennis High School and attended Prairieview College.

Preceding Thelma in death was her husband, and 3 sons, Thomas, Jr., Willie and Ronald.

Surviving Thelma are Jester Faye Kimble, and husband Roy, of Litchfield Park, AZ Hubert Haynes, Sr., and wife Carolyn, of Hobbs Arthur Haynes, and wife Faye, of Hobbs and Roy Haynes, and wife Carolyn, of Midland, TX.

A Celebration of Life for Thelma will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Stapleton officiating assisted by Earl Barnett. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8 a.m. 6 p.m. Thursday, January 4 at Chapel of Hope which is charge of arrangements.
