Terri Henderson

April 12, 1948 — March 5, 2022

Hobbs

Terri “Davis” Henderson, 74 years full of life and love, a resident of Hobbs New Mexico, joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 5th, 2022.  She was born on the 12th of April 1948 in Scott City Kansas to Roy and Mary Davis.

During her childhood, Terri attended numerous schools until her 8th grade.  From 8th grade through graduation, she attended Artesia High School, where she graduated a proud Artesia Bulldog.  There she met and married Paul Houston. Together they had two children, Robert Houston and Brian Houston.   During this time, she worked as a Dispatcher for the Artesia Police Department. She was also employed by Raytheon Technologies for many years.    In 1986, she found and married her soulmate, Daryl Henderson.  Together, they would later raise three of their grandchildren, Carrie, Samantha, and Robert Houston.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Terri enjoyed spending time with her family.  Whether it be traveling, cooking out, or going to ball games, she enjoyed family-oriented activities.  Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Terri was a long-time member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.  She had a passion for reading and studying her Bible, allowing her to provide guidance, wisdom, protection, and unconditional love.

Terri joins both parents, Roy and Mary Davis, and husband, Daryl Henderson in Heaven.   She is survived by her sister Toni and Roy Sullivan, her two sons, Robert Dee Houston and Brian and Sarah Houston, and the grandchildren she raised, Carrie and Zac Owens, Samantha Houston, and Robert and Dymphna Houston.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Terri will be desperately missed by all those that had the opportunity to know her.  Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss but know that she is rejoicing in Heaven.  She was an exceptional woman, and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

The family is grateful for all prayers, condolences, and memories.
