Teresa Carreon

Teresa Carreon, 83, of Hobbs, NM passed away October 8, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born December 6, 1929 in Realitos, TX to Gonzalo and Maria Ruiz Santos. Teresa was married to Albert on May 19, 1948 in Hebbronville, TX.



A Rosary will be held at 6pm, Friday night, October 11, at Chapel of Hope. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 12, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Teresa will be in state at the funeral home Friday, 8am till 8pm.



Teresa was a kind, caring and beauiful woman. She provided a warm, calming presence to the lives of those who were lucky enough to know her. Of her many roles, she may be best remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and devoted wife of sixtyfive years. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family members and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.



Survivors for Teresa include her husband, Albert Carreon Sr. of Hobbs, 2 sons Albert Carreon, Jr and wife, Judy of Huntsville Alabama, Juan Carreon and wife, Linda of Hobbs 2 daughters Rosemary Sena and husband, John of Alamogordo, NM, Janie Hernandez and husband, Eloy of Lovington, NM, 2 brothers Domingo Santos and wife Gloria of Freer, TX, Gonzalo Santos and wife, ChuCha of Hebbronville, TX 8 grandchildren Kimberly Williamson and husband, Barry, Robert ONeal and wife, Brandy, Albert Carreon III, Sara Sue Carreon, Jennifer M. Lopez Abel, Ricardo A. Lopez Natalia, Amanda Moreno Jaime and Crystal Carreon 10 greatgrandchildren Haley Hughes, Megan ONeal, Teresa Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Abel Martinez, Jr., Jazlynn Martinez, Aubrey Martinez, Nicole Martinez, Gavin Martinez and Clarrissa Lopez.



Teresa was preceded in death by a son Ramiro Carreon, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.



Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
