Steve Jennings

Steve Edward Jennings was received into Heaven and the arms of God on July 13, 2008, at the age of 43. He left this world as he lived it, conscious of God, fearless of death, full of grace and peace, with his loved ones by his side.

Steve was born Feb. 9, 1965, in Enid, Oklahoma. Steve was involved in many activshy;ities during his lifetime, including BMX bicycle racing, bull riding, team ropshy;ing, steer wrestling and motorshy;cycle riding. Along his jourshy;ney, he made many wonderful friends and cherished each and everyone. He especially cherished his children, grandshy;son and family. He was a memshy;ber of First Christian Church and was blessed with extraordinary love and support from his church family. He was employed by RWI Construction and was an honshy;orary member of the Last Few Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his chilshy;dren, Lindsay Taylor Jennings of Hobbs, and Ashley Nicole Jennings and Tanner Cole Jennings of Slaton, Texas; and his grandson, Garren Tyler Thomas of Hobbs. He is also survived by his parents, Linda and Ed Jennings of Hobbs; his sister, Shelly and husband Tom Wolfe of Hobbs; his brothshy;er, Michael and wife Traci Jennings of Hobbs; his grandshy;father, Jim Morgan; his Aunt Judy and Uncle Ray Payton and his Aunt Susan Graves, all of Levelland, Texas, and his Aunt Doris James of Enid, Oklahoma. He also has many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

We are thankful for the gift of his life touching ours and would like to share that gift with family and friends in a Celebration Memorial Service at First Christian Church, 305 W Alston, Saturday, July 19, at 1 p.m. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
