In a world of suffering and misery, a heroine was needed to rise above the rest. Her positivity and quick wit an inspiration to many, a fearless oboist was born and rose to great strength. With a need to explore and an imagination that allowed her to travel across space and time, she lived each day to the fullest and seized every opportunity and left no regrets in her wake. Her super human gift for connection attracted life long friends wherever she went and she changed all who met her. Her name was Stacy Allen. Born in a small town with big dreams, she vowed to live a life worthy of the minstrels song. Earning a Masters in English Literature, she had the power to record what was sure to be amazing adventures. Always restless, and with an Alan Menken score behind her, she lived on both coasts for a time and many places in between. She traveled the world seeking adventure and inspiring the legends that will be told in the years to come. Dedicated to living everyday to the fullest, no matter what she encountered, even breast cancer could hardly slow her down. She fought Herbert her tumor, tooth and nail, and she won. With Herbert conquered, she was planning her next great adventure when, in a twist ending, Stacy was taken from us on October 4th. At age 31, her credits rolled way too soon. Unlike Batman who is the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now, she is the hero we needed, but maybe not the one we deserve right now, but still her legacy will live on. Rest in peace, sweet Stacy. For those of us lucky to know you, you were our superhero and we were lucky to be in your orbit. Your story does not end here. Beth and David Allen, MeMaw Bobbye Allen and all your family and friends will continue your legacy, fighting for what is right and having an awesome time.
