Shirley Mccold

Funeral services for Shirley McCold, 73, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Dale Shook. Interment will be at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 8 a.m. 7 p.m. and Thursday, 8 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope. Shirley died March 25, 2012, at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born March 10, 1939, at Ringling, Oklahoma, to Lee and Irene Baucom. On November 19, 1955, in Hobbs, she married Troy McCold. She was a faithful member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.

Shirley enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing games. She loved her family as well as animals, especially dogs.

Surviving Shirley is her husband, Troy, of Hobbs three daughters, Debbie Pipkin, and husband Lewis, of Farmington, NM, Karen Williams, and husband Carl, of Amarillo, TX, and Melody Teague, and husband Donald, of Hobbs grandsons, Scot Pipkin of Ft. Worth, Tx, Aaron Pipkin, of Dallas, TX, Jacob and Nicholas Teague of Hobbs granddaughters, Jennifer Williams of Amarillo, TX, Tiffany Parker of Texas, and Megan Samora of Farmington, NM, and twelve greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Hunter and her parents, Lee and Irene Baucom.
