Sharon Kay Johnson Witherspoon

September 13, 1970 - December 4, 2020

Our beloved Sharon Kay Johnson Witherspoon, 50, went home to be with our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ on Friday, December 4, 2020.

Sharon was born September 13, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas, to TC and Minzie Kay Johnson.

She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1988 and went on to receive several associates degrees from New Mexico Junior College as well as a cosmetology degree.

A decade later, Sharon met the love of her life, John Witherspoon. The two married in 1998 and went on to have two sons - Isaiah and Malachi - the heart and soul of Sharon’s life.

Sharon held a wide variety of jobs, but her crowning achievement was 15 years spent working for the New Mexico Government in the Hobbs Income Support Division as a Family Assistance Analyst and Community Outreach Liaison, helping those most in need in her local community.

Sharon was a devoted servant, leader, and exceptionally hard worker with an enormous, loving heart. She joins her father-in-law, Jim Witherspoon, in heaven, who passed away the week before on November 27, 2020. She is survived by John, Isaiah, and Malachi, as well as her sister-in-law, Janie Davis, brother, Ronnie Stewart, sister, Anita Scott, and niece and nephew, Abby and Clint Foster.
