Sharon Aten

Memorial services for Sharon L. Aten, 68, of Hobbs, will be Thursday, April 28, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Benny Greenlee officiating. Sharon died April 23, 2011, at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born March 20, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William and Pauline Klingler. Cremation will take place.

She married Donald R. Aten, Sr. April 9, 1961, in Indianapolis. Sharon loved her family and friends. She loved people and made many friends as she never met a stranger. A few of her favorite things were eating out, animals, music and ceramics. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist.

Surviving Sharon is her husband, Donald R., Sr. of Hobbs two sons, Donald R. Aten, Jr and wife Debbie of Hobbs and Billy Aten and wife Heather of Decatur, TX and her twin brother, David L. Klingler, and wife Karen of Lawton, OK eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents son, Timothy Scott Aten and brother, Bobby Klingler.
