A funeral serivce for Sharlene Shar Gaunt of Hobbs will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Bishop Monty Wittman will officiate. Burial will follow after services at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday from 8 a.m. 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service time at Chapel of Hope, which is charge of arrangements.
Gaunt, 56, died January 30, 2010, at her home in Hobbs. She was born April 24, 1953, in Prosser, Washington.
Shar worked for Auld Signs for many years as the bookkeeper. She loved her grandchildren and was a member of Church of the First Born.
Survivors include her father and his wife, Robert and Shirley Gaunt of Spokane, Washington her mother Ines Wilson of Richland, Washington daughter Amber Gonzalez and husband Octavio of Sacramento, California grandmother Louise Gaunt of Washington numerous brothers and sisters and six grandchildren. Shar was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lance Brodie and brother Willie Wilson.
