Seborn Van South was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on January 31, 1966, to Billy Van and Margaret Ann South. He was called to his heavenly home on December 30, 2022. He was the toughest guy that anyone knew and fought and won so many battles through his life.
Seborn married his high school sweetheart, Tracy Ann Chandler South June 8, 1985. They had 37 years of great adventures but the greatest of these was when Colton Van South joined the family in 1997. Seborn adored his son and was so proud of him.
Seborn worked for Zia Natural Gas in Hobbs for 22 years and considered all of his co-workers family. When his condition finally forced him to retire, it broke his heart, but he knew it was time.
Throughout his life he was a fantastic softball player, golfer, avid motorcycle rider, proud Corvette owner and Halloween costume professional! Above all, he was a great son, brother, husband, and father.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Ann South, son and daughter in love, Colton and Alisha South, father, Billy South, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna and Mark Sharp, Cathy and Kevin Robinson, and Kyle Payne, father-in-law Don Chandler and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, many dear friends that were certainly more like family.
He is now surrounded in heaven by his mother Margaret South, sister Teri Payne, grandparents John and Estelle South and Emmett and Mildred Bible, and mother-in-law Glenda Chandler.
Seborn lived his life without complaint, with a smile on his face and a fantastic attitude that will forever earn him the title of The Life of the Party.
