Santos “Sam” T Trevino entered into this world into the loving arms of Cirilo and Carmen Trevino on June 23, 1947, in McKinney, Texas. For seventy-six years he enjoyed life and entered into God’s loving arms on March 4, 2024.
He attended and graduated from Lovington High School in 1967. He married Erlinda Lopez on July 18, 1970, in St. James Catholic Church in Seminole, Texas. Shortly after this union, Santos became an auto parts salesman and was a dedicated husband to Linda. He was a supportive and loving father to three children. He enjoyed selling parts and visiting with various customers as they talk about cars, trucks, and parts. His favorite conversations involved talking about Fords and, especially, the Ford Falcons. Santos, “Sam”, drag raced and enjoyed an occasional visit to the race track with his sons and grandchildren. Listening to the rumbling of fast cars was a thrill and enjoyment. He would be seen around town wearing his Ford caps. He was a Ford man until the end.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jane, his brothers – Ernest, Jessie, and Felix.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years Linda, daughter Cynthia, sons Eddie (Lydia), Marcus, four grandchildren Eddie, Jonah, Aalysia (Juan) Levine, and Elaina (Kyler Marchington), a great granddaughter Aaliana Levine, John Trevino (Mary), and several nieces and nephews.Monday, March 11, 2024
