Sandra Brooks

Funeral services for Sandra Telene Brooks, 68, of Hobbs, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Third Central Church of Christ in Lovington with Minister Dale Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 8 a.m. 5 p.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra died December 4, 2011, at her home in Hobbs. She was born October 21, 1943, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, to Tommy and Nellie Chestnut. Sandra married Gerry Brooks August 22, 1963, in Kansas. She was a member of the Third Central Church of Christ. Sandra was an animal lover, especially cats.

Surviving Sandra is her husband, Gerry, of Hobbs two sons, Mark Brooks of Wittmann, AZ, and David Brooks of Kersey, Co one daughter, Audra Hughes, and husband Robert, of Frisco, TX a brother, Tommy Chestnut, Jr. of Brighton, CO four grandchildren, Zachery, Aaron, Shelby and Garrett numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
