Samuel Bruton

Samuel Carl Bruton, 23, of Monument, NM was born January 17, 1991 in Ft. Huachuca, AZ to Marlin Kerkman and Penny Bruton. He passed away December 18, in Lea County.

Sam was a graduate of Hobbs High School. He was on the swim team, Hobbs FFA and active in the Monument 4H. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Sam was employed by Weatherford.

He is survived by his mother, Penny Bruton, of the home in Monument, NM, his father Marlin Kerkman of Houston, TX, paternal grandmother, Mary Pope of Houston, Tx, aunt and uncle, Bobby and Karrie Bruton of Monument, NM, Cousins, Angela and Travis Wilson with children Chad and Cutter and Samantha Bruton, family friend Tammy Van Marter, great aunts Sylvia Thompson of Monument and Karla Kerkman Jones of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Sam and Faye Bruton and paternal stepgrandfather Jessie Pope.
