Sabrina Lynn Elliott, 53, of Hobbs, New Mexico went into the arms of our Heavenly Father on February 13, 2014 after a lengthy illness at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was born January 8, 1961 to William Cochran and Janet Wheeler in Hobbs.
After completing high school in Hobbs, Sabrina went on to graduate with an Associates of Arts from the New Mexico Junior College. In 1989, while attending NMJC, she received the Whos Who among American Junior Colleges award, and with her outstanding merit she was also awarded the Presidential Scholarship to attend Texas Tech University. She later graduated with her Bachelors of Business, with an emphasis in Accounting, from the College of the Southwest.
It was her goal to start her own accounting firm, Sabrina Elliotts Accounting. It was her dream to help small businesses thrive. She built her business singlehandedly from the ground up, searching out her own clientele, and becoming a well known and loved business woman in the Hobbs area. Sabrina was known for her huge heart and wanted nothing more than to share her success with the rest of the community.
Sabrina married Phillip Phill Elliott on June 24, 1991, in a little chapel on the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. They spent the next 22 years growing their family with love and compassion. They would do anything for their seven children. They loved to spend time with and watch their children grow into the adults that theyve become today. Without the wisdom she imparted to her children they would not have these gifts to impart to their own children.
Sabrina is preceded in death by her parents, William Cochran and Janet Wheeler. She is survived by her husband, Phill Elliott of Hobbs seven children, Brandee Nicolai of Gainesville, Georgia, Mandy Griffin of Amarillo, Texas, Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy Cody Elliott, stationed in Atsugi, Japan, Chad Stinson of Hobbs, Justin Stinson of Hobbs, Cassie Barraza of Hobbs, and Ty Elliott of Portales, New Mexico, and ten grandchildren.
