Ruby Kujala

Services Ruby A.Kujala of Hobbs will take place in Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris, Michigan at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. 5 p.m. Friday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of local arrangements.

Kujala, 89, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She married Donald Kujala in August 4, 1954, in Michigan. He died in 1979.

Ruby was a nurses aid and LPN and retired in 1981 with over 35 years service working at numerous medical facilities in Mt. Pleasant and Flint, Michigan. She moved to Hobbs in 1984. Ruby was a member of the Moose Club and the Rebeccas. She loved knitting, crocheting, sewing and putting puzzles together.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet and husband Ron Ellison of Hobbs, and Claudia and husband Ron Rosinski of Mt. Morris, Michigan one sister, Claudia and husband Dave Maney of Mt. Pleasant eight grandchildren and sixteen greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Lanson and Josie Elliott husband Donald Kujala three brothers one sister and two grandsons.
