Roscoe Williams, 86, died peacefully on December10, 2016 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
He was born August 17, 1930, in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Everett and Mary Williams, but spent most of his youth growing up in Hobbs, New Mexico. Roscoe later served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War and then became a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, moving until retirement to the state of Indiana and then Michigan. He provided endless hours of community service for children and their families and for other seniors through the Elks Club, Shriners, and after retirement, the Senior Center in Hobbs.
Roscoe enjoyed singing in the church choir and has also enjoyed fellowship and companionship with other seniors through dominoes, cards, pool, and lunch at the Senior Center in Hobbs.
Mr. Williams is survived by his sister, Sis Hembree; brother and his wife, Jim and Leo Williams; 1 daughter and her spouse, Angie and Danny Tiller; 5 stepchildren and their spouses: Becky and Bill Kietzerow, Dan and Chris Morse, Mike and Sharee Morse, Peter Morse, Sally and Javier Luna; nieces and nephews and their families; Larry, Jerry, and Gordon Hembree; Rodena Hiser and Jon Williams; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Williams and daughter, Debbie Sullivan.
