Ronnie Raybon

May 13, 1947 — August 16, 2017

Ronnie Franklin Raybon was mercifully called home by our Lord and Savior on August 16, 2017. He was surrounded in a circle of love by his family listening to his favorite hymns. He was born on May 13th, 1947 to Fay and LaVern Raybon in Monticello, Arkansas. He was born again at age 18 when he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at First Baptist Church in Eunice, New Mexico. This was a decision he held close to his heart throughout his lifetime. He was a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Frank graduated from Eunice High School in Eunice, New Mexico in the Class of 1966. He was a member of the State Champion EHS Cardinals football team, a team that was made up of close friends that have lasted a lifetime.

Frank married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Janet Brown Raybon on December 2nd, 1965. They were blessed with two sons, Brad (Kari) of Midland, TX, and Brian (Yvonne) of League City, TX; six grandchildren, Robert (Beau), Brooke, Ariel, Alexandria (Allie), Tyson, and Baylee. These people are who he loved and lived for.

Frank started his career in the oil fields with Amoco Petroleum Company as a roustabout but quickly advanced through the many positions until he found his calling in the drilling department as a Drilling Supervisor for Amoco, Union Texas Petroleum Company, Meridian Oil, Burlington Resources, and ConocoPhillips. Throughout this time he traveled to many different states and offshore. He has touched so many lives and influenced many people. He has always been so touched when past employees would call him for advice or references.

Frank always supported his boys in all their activities, whether it be coaching their team or being an officer in their booster clubs. The Grandchildren took the priority if they had any activity that he could go watch and support. He was always so proud of all of them.

Frank loved to watch football with the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite team along with the University of Texas, Texas Tech University, and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Frank is also survived by his brothers and families, Don Green (Carolyn) of Jal, NM, Larry Green (Joyce) of San Angelo, TX, Michael Lynn (Deena) of Breckenridge, TX, and Kenneth (Lynda) of Farmington, NM. Six nieces, Diane Green Martin (Richard), Debbie Green Stokes (Brian), Donna Green Volz (Hans), Susan Green Willis (Brian), Ami Raybon Hicks (Jason), Cari Raybon Fountaine; three nephews, Kevin Raybon (Julie), Clay Raybon, and Cole Raybon (Krystal), and several great nieces and nephews, two Aunts, Marilyn Cox of Silsbee, TX, and Betty Clampit of Napa Valley, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fay and LaVern Raybon, his in-laws, Bob and Kitty Brown, and one niece, Lori Green.
