Ronald Bradshaw

September 17, 1943 — August 29, 2011

Ronald James Bradshaw, husband, brother, father and Pappa, went home to be with his heavenly father on August 29, 2011. Ronnie was born September 17, 1943, in Brady, TX, to Alonso Bradshaw and Dorothy Mama Dot Bradshaw Pittman. He married Laquetta Hardin on March 2, 1979, and they celebrated thirtytwo and onehalf years together.

Services will be held at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church Thursday, September 1, 2011, 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dale Shook. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 p.m. 7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie was a selfless husband, father and family man. He provided for his family with tireless love, hard work and a sense of humor. Not a moment passed when he wasnt doing something to better the lives of those around him. He had a love for playing cards and dominoes with his family and friends. There will never be another Dr. Dominio. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War and in 1968 received an honorable discharge from the 1st Calvary as a Sergeant E5. Ronnie worked many years for the potash mines in the Carlsbad area, retiring in 1997. He fought a hard, brave fight battling lung cancer and we were blessed to have his courage and love as long as we did.

He is survived by his wife, Laquetta Hardin Bradshaw LaDonna DeAn Bradshaw Chew and husband Fred of Lovington, NM, Amanda Leigh Bradshaw Rodriquez of Hobbs, and Austin T. Bradshaw and wife Ruth of Lubbock, TX grandsons, Jerad Lee Peters, Mitchell Dean Morrow, Terrell James Morrow and Michael Devon Rodriquez siblings Warren Monroe Bradshaw and wife Sandra of Plano, TX, Thomas Don Bradshaw and wife Judy, of Hobbs and Bonnie Dean Bradshaw Sims and husband Dean of Hobbs and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters and brothersinlaw, Claudine and Bill Martin, Jo Mozelle and Connie Quisenberry and Wanda and Bill Fowler, and one grandbaby, Baby R.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the NM Baptist childrens Home, PO Box 629, Portales, NM 88130, or the charity of ones choice.
