Ronald Bessinger

A funeral service for Rronald H. Bessinger of Hobbs will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements. Reverend David Matkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010, from 5 7:30 p.m. at Chapel of Hope. The family will be in attendance at that time.

Mr. Bessinger died July 26, 2010, at Hobbs Health Care Center. He was born January 10, 1947, in Buford, South Carolina.

Ron, also known as Papa Ron, worked as a diesel mechanic for many years and most recently at Lea County Road Department. He loved fishing and watching golf.

Survivors include longtime partner, Ms. Dean Hamilton of Hobbs two daughters, Melissa Sorrells and husband Galen of Dunn, Texas, and Kim Montes and husband Ralph of New Windsor, New York stepson Dewey McCort of Abilene Texas grandchildren, Emily Robertson and Cameron Montes of New Windsor, New York twin brother Don Bessinger and wife Frankie of Poolville, Texas sister, Connie Fraley of Hobbs and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bessinger was preceded in death by his parents, Stella Mae Moss Camp and Lewis C. Bessinger and a sister, Carol Taylor.
