alignjustifyMr. Wester, 70, died February 11, 2009, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born March 27, 1938, in Chico, Texas. He married Bobbie Hale Wester on August 18, 1972, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
He was a vice president of Kiwanis, a soccer coach, softball and baseball coach, Cub Scout den leader, avid hunter and camper. He was with the Fire Department for over 20 years, retiring as captain and fire marshal.
He was a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.
Suryivors include his wife, Bobbie Wester of Hobbs; a son, Byron Wester of Hobbs; three daughters, Kathy and husband Landry Smith of Springtown, Texas, and Sheri and husband Billy Kidd of Springtown, Texas, and Sheri McKay of Hobbs, New Mexico; his father, Bruce Wester of Chico, Texas; a sister, Peggy and husband Jimmie Smith of Azle, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jasen Kidd of Springtown, Texas, Hollie Smith of Austin, Texas, Perry Drannon of Shallowater, Texas, Lisa and husband Michael Green of Springtown, Texas, Jamie and husband Matt Amrine of Springtown, Texas, James Kidd of Springtown, Texas, Tiffany Drannon of Hobbs, New Mexico, Cooper Wester of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Cadence Wester of Hobbs, New Mexico; a nephew, Jim and wife Sheri Smith of Springtown, Texas; and two nieces, Jolynda and husband Mark Hulsey of Austin, Texas, and Lisa and Tim Samsill of North Richland Hills, Texas.
alignjustifyHe was preceded in death by his mother, Clara B. Redwine Wester.
