Rodolfo Garcia

Rodolfo "Papi" Garcia, A beloved Husband,Father,Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and friend was called to his eternal resting place on September 17, 2023. Rodolfo was born on January 15, 1946 in Donna, TX to Gonzalo and Belen Garcia. Rodolfo migrated to California in 1960. He worked in Huron, California where he met the love of his life Amelia Delgado. They married on July 8,1964 and they had 5 children. He was baptized by Mendota Apostolic Church. He worked in the farming fields of agriculture operating heavy machinery for 42 years until he retired in 2000. He moved to Riverdale with his family where he enjoyed his days of retirement. He enjoyed fishing, going to the flea markets, gardening, taking care of his farm animals and he loved going to the Casino with his wife whenever they had a chance to. In early 2022, his health started to decline and his family moved to Hobbs, New Mexico to be under the care of his grandson Anthony. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. He always greeted everyone with a handshake. We will treasure the moments and memories we had with him. Papi will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him! He was preceded in death by his parents Gonzalo & Belen Garcia, his daughter Belen Garcia, his granddaughter Lupe Garcia Solorio, his brother Hector Garcia and sisters Ernestina Valenzuela, Mary Duran and Candelaria Hernandez. He is survived by his wife Amelia Garcia; his daughters Anna and Lupe Garcia; his sons Rudy Jr and Ruben Garcia, his sisters Blanca Cuevas, Dora Hernandez and Minerva Perez, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in California.
