Rodney Ramirez

Rodney passed away February 7th at his home in Hobbs, NM, at the age of 50. He was born November 3rd, 1974, in Odessa TX. He lived in Hobbs all his life. Rodney was well known by many people. He was very outgoing and always willing to help anyone if he could. He worked for many years at Audioefx. He loved working installing radios and bumping that music. He worked for Watson selling parts and that was becoming more of a hobby than work. He had many friends that he considered as brothers, or you could say, a brother from another mother. He made the best BBQ you could have. That was another huge passion he had. Always willing to cook for any and everyone but never ate his food. Rodney was a great son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and grandfather. He was the best Papa his grandchildren could have asked for. His qualities were too many to name. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

He is preceded in death by his son Fabian Ramirez, grandmother Guadalupe Garcia and his father Arturo Martinez. Rodney is survived by his mother Cruz Garcia, his wife Maria Ramirez of 10 years, their daughter Jasmine, his children Nicholas and Alexis and their mother Angela, stepchildren Michael and Alyssa, five grandchildren and 2 grand pups. He is also survived by his siblings Arturo and Lorena Martinez, Daniel Martinez, Yvonne and Oscar Castro. Many aunts and uncles, various nieces and nephews.
