Rodger Darrell Jetton, age 69, was born August 8, 1946 in Brownfield, Texas to Roy Burlin and Ruby Fay (Walton) Jetton.
He moved to Hobbs in the early 80's from Denver City, TX where he worked for Acid Engineering and was part of opening the Acid Engineering office in the Hobbs area. He worked there for many years moving to United Packer Service and then back to Acid Engineering before finishing his work career at Waste Management Service of Hobbs. He was always very generous and willing to help anyone in need and he cherished his very special and spoiled pet Dixie Dog.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Hill and husband Lex of Hobbs and Stephen Jetton and wife Cyndi of San Marcos, Texas, brother's; Fred Jetton and David Jetton of Hobbs, grandson, Jeremy Thompson of Phoenix, AZ, numerous nieces and nephews as well as several very special friends and his beloved pet "Dixie Dog".
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Burlin and Ruby Faye (Walton) Jetton.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" at the Moose Lodge, 2920 W. Marland in Hobbs, NM at 1:00-3:00 pm, Saturday, June 6, 2015, where he was a member for many years with lunch also being provided. Rodger didn't want a traditional service so we invite all family and friends to share any stories they would like at this time.
