Rocky Dobbs

Funeral services for Rocky Darrell Dobbs, will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, 2022 N. Robert Lane in Hobbs, NM, officiated by Bishops Bro. Monty Wittman, Bro. Ronnie Sutton and Bro. Bobby Wright. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, and 8 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope.

Rocky was born to Dwain and Virginia Dobbs on August 5, 1954, in Dumas, TX. He passed away April 21, 2012, in Hobbs. Rocky attended Hobbs Schools and then joined the Marines and served his country for three years. He married Rebecca Brown June 29, 1973, and to this union two sons were born, Lance and Clifford. Rocky was a member of the Church of the Firstborn. He worked as a welder many years. Rocky wore many hats. He was a welder, cowboy, son, brother and friend. He was loved by everyone and everyone loved him.

Surviving Rocky is his father, Dwain Dobbs of Hobbs, NM sons, Lance Dobbs of Tulsa, OK, and Clifford Dobbs of Hobbs four grandchildren and a brother, Frank Dobbs of Hobbs.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Rebecca, his mother, Virginia and brother, Gary Dobbs.
