Robert "Bob" Thompson, Jr.

May 16, 1964 — March 11, 2025

Hobbs

Robert "Bob" Thompson Jr, 60, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2025, at Covenant Hobbs Hospital. Robert was born on May 16th, 1964, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Mrs. Audie (Cruse) and Mr. Robert Collins Thompson Sr.

As a child, "Tutor Bob" as he was lovingly called by his dad, was a huge fan of The Hulk and rarely missed an episode of his favorite TV show, Bonanza. Throughout his life one thing held true, to know Bob was to love him. He had a smile that would brighten even the darkest day. Bob never met a stranger; he was a loving "friend" to everyone he met. Bob wouldn't leave the house without wearing one of the many caps from his collection and a pair of gloves. Bob will aways be remembered for the joy he brought to every room he was in; he loved to dance and was always the life of the party.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Betty Peabody and James Wade Sanders. Bob is survived by his siblings Lyndia (Alan) Pyeatt, Gloria Thompson, Ethel Smith, Wanda (Jack) Duncan, Mary Sanders, Jerry Sanders and Huey (Josie) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.

Bob will be deeply missed by his family; and by his "Leaders family" of dedicated caregivers who were a constant source of love and support during his 29 years as a client of Leaders.
