Robert Sutton, Sr.

Funeral services for Robert Leo Sutton, Sr. will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. June 30, 2010, at Taylor Street Church of Christ with burial following at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Minister Mike Kennedy will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010, from 11 a.m. 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Robert was born June 2, 1949, in Liberal, Kansas, to Hubert and Myrtle Sutton. He passed from this life June 26, 2010, at his home with his family at his side.

He moved to Hobbs in 1954 and married Helen Abney on September 5, 1975, in Hobbs. Mr. Sutton was a truck driver for K W Fuels for 20 years and was an active member of Taylor Street Church of Christ. Robert loved woodworking.

Robert is survived by his wife, Helen, of Hobbs two sons, Robert L. Sutton, Jr. and wife Chanda, and Jeffery Ackors, of Waco, Texas two daughters, Jade Gomez of Hobbs and Renee Griffen of Waco, Texas two sisters, Rhonda Teague of Hobbs and Linda Carmack of Benton, Louisiana two brothers, Larry Sutton of Eunice, New Mexico, and Gary Sutton of Benton, Louisiana and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Gwen Sutton.
