Robert Pruitt

A memorial service for Robert L. Pruitt, 83, of Hobbs will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Cremation will take place and burial at a later date at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Robert, 83, died October 15, 2010, at Heartland Care Center. He was born February 7, 1927, in Orr, Oklahoma. He married Bernice Edward Ford on November 3, 1961, in Texas.

Robert was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Duncan, Oklahoma, Lodge No. 60. He enjoyed reading, traveling and camping.

Survivors include his son Mike Ford and wife Jaree of St. George, Utah four daughters, Debra Witt and husband Bill of Amarillo, Texas, Jhone Pruitt of Yelm, Washington, Pam Byers and husband Mark of Oroville, California, and Brenda Denney and husband Robert of Hobbs one sister Nan Harris of Denver City, Texas eight grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest A. and Lillian E. Pruitt wife Bernice in March, 2002 two daughters, Callie Ford and Charlotte Pruitt and two brothers.
