Funeral services for Robert C. Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008, at Jefferson Street Church of Christ with Minister Clay Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

A private family visishy;tation will be held for Robert. Arrangemshy;ents are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Mr. Lopez, 40, died September 3, 2008, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1968, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He married Shamie Lopez on June 2, 1990, in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Robert was known best for his love of serving the Lord and love of family and friends. He was a member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ where he served as a deacon. Robert was employed with Bull Rogers since January 1, 1997. He was a laydown machine operashy;tor and had advanced to a sales position in 2005. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Shamie Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, his mother, Lucy Lopez of Hobbs, New Mexico, a daughter, Jesyca Redhouse; his brothers, Johnny Florez and wife Suzy, Santos Florez, Valente Lopez Jr., Mario Lopez, Adam Lopez and Daniel Lopez, all of Hobbs, New Mexico; his sisters, Mary Florez, Olivia Garcia, Corina Martinez and husband Pedro and Aurelia Lopez, all of Hobbs, New Mexico; a granddaughter, Anijah Redhouse of Hobbs, New Mexico, two brothers-in-law, Rick McCart and wife Penny of Oklahoma, and Steve McCart and wife Eva of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister-in-law, Donna Gardner and husband Bill of Hobbs, New Mexico, and numershy;ous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Valente Lopez; a brother, Estevan Florez; two sisters, Adela Hernandez and Thomasa Aguilar; three nephews, Omar Mojica, Christopher Lopez and Aurelio Lopez; and his mother-in-law Esther Lee White.
